NU Ideas is a multilingual, interdisciplinary on-line journal produced by graduate students and published by Mei-Writing, the Nagoya University Academic Writing Unit. NU Ideas publishes academic work by graduate students and other affiliates of Nagoya University working in any academic field.
Graduate students and other affiliates of Nagoya University are invited to submit academic papers in Chinese, English, French, German, or Japanese. Work in any academic field is welcome. Students have the opportunity to learn about academic authorship and publishing through hands-on participation. In addition through its variety of contributions, NU Ideas will represent the breadth and quality of scholarly work being done at Nagoya University.
NU Ideas particularly welcomes work that is interdisciplinary in scope. Much of the best academic work being produced in the world today is interdisciplinary. NU Ideas seeks to publish original work comparable to that suitable for publication in field-specific journals. This may include:
- Academic research papers
- Reviews of new books, software, or technology
- Reports on academic work in progress at Nagoya University
- Papers on special themes
